Awesome is...

Ms. Fazenda's grade 2/3 class and our grade 3 class wrote about things that we thought were awesome, based on the style of Neil Pasricha's 'Book of Awesome'. After we finished writing, Ms. Fazenda led the students through some art, where they created Barbara Reid-style clay pictures based on their writing. In this video, you'll see each student's art piece displayed, while they tell the viewer what their idea of 'AWESOME!!' is. We hope you enjoy it!

As part of our study of bridges in our Structures and Materials unit, the students are working in team to design and build a bridge. The bridge needs to span a 30cm gap, needs to use trusses, and must allow a Hot Wheels car to drive over. Each group will be given 50 straws and masking tape to build them, and we will have a competition in a few weeks to see which bridge holds the most weight. #sciencerules via Instagram http://ift.tt/2mjtGeG
