In case you missed it, Room 18 favourite The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore won the 2012 Academy Award for Animated Short Film last night! The students were quite excited when I told them today (some of them even knew, beforehand!), and rightly so - I can't say that I saw the other nominees, but it was great to see this wonderful film about books and the place they have in our lives win in this category.
