This week, we've started learning about procedural writing with Ms. Fazenda's class. The first task the students had was to write a procedure on how to make a peanut butter sandwich. Then, Ms. Fazenda and I attempted to make sandwiches (using a nut-free substitute for peanut butter, of course!) using these instructions, with some hilarious results (see lower left photo), in order to illustrate the importance of having clear and concise instructions. After that, with everyone working together, we wrote a procedure for how to make the sandwich, and I followed the directions as we wrote it, to make sure we didn't leave anything out. Finally, Ms. Fazenda and I made sandwiches for all of the students to enjoy. So much fun! via Instagram http://ift.tt/2e78lOS
