Welcome to Grade 3!

Hi there! Welcome to Room 18 and Grade 3! It's hard to believe that another summer has come and gone so quickly (probably even more so this year, because of the wonderful weather we've had), but here we are! I'm looking forward to spending another wonderful year teaching at Radisson School, and getting to know the students and parents of Room 18 better throughout the year...

Something new that we're going to be doing in Room 18 this year is publishing a classroom blog. We're going to be blogging about what's going on in our classroom - the routine things we do, as well as the special events that happen in Room 18 and in the rest of Radisson School. Some of the posts will be written by me, but I am aiming to have the majority written by the students. It'll be a great opportunity for them to practice writing for an audience, as well as giving them some experience in using a computer application that they probably haven't used before. It's also a great way to keep family and friends (no matter where they are in the world) up to date on what the students are doing at school!

This is a new experience for me, so I'm not 100% sure of what it's going to look like, and I'm sure it'll change as the year goes on. However, I'm very excited to try this, and to see how the students contribute to our blog. I hope you'll check in frequently with us, so you can see how much fun we're having, and how much the students are learning!
